Holiday Season is always a blast for `anglers in the house!
First off, the holidays are an absolutely fantastic excuse for buying fishing gear. Whether for others as gifts or under the cover of Xmas shopping for one’s self…there’s nothing quite like holiday shopping for fishing gear.

Of course there’s the obvious gift items like boats and motors. But realistically, those are out of touch for most of us so we’ll move on down the scale. But just a little. There’s absolutely nothing like fishing reels under the tree. Whether a fresh Islander TR3 or new Penn Fathom Electric, nothing quite says Merry Xmas like a new ride! And the cool thing with fishing reels is they’re infinitely scalable. You can spend a little or a lot…depending on how much you really like the person your gifting. Just kidding! But reels do come in all shapes, sizes and applications.

If we’re talking reels moving onto rods would be a no-brainer. They can be kinda awkward under the tree or at company Xmas parties, but rods are always an awesome gift to give or receive. From Hali to tuna, salmon to light gear…there’s a ton of rods to pair with that new shiny Xmas reel…and your local smiling PNT sales guy will happily make sure you’re dialled…in Steveston, Parksville or Prince Rupert.
Now electronics are always a cool thing and they tend to come in manageable boxes for gifting. If the angler in your household needs a little tech, handheld GPS like Garmin InReach are a bite-sized gift and there’s always a little electronic for everyone come holidays! From latest greatest Garmin to Simrad/Lowrance it’s easy to get rigged up.

And while you’re rigging up and diving into that holiday cheer, what could possibly say Happy Holidays, Merry Xmas or have an awesome New Year more…than new downriggers, prawn pullers or the latest in iPhone and iPad holders (awesome by the way) from our good friends at Scotty. And for sure nothing says “cheers” better over the holidays than a Scotty plastic tumbler…or six ;).
Moving past the obvious monofilament and fluorocarbon leader material and 80-pound braid for your tuna spread (which all make wonderful stocking stuffers or big spool presents…to the start of the monkey business at the end of the line. As herring or anchovies are not a particularly “normal” Xmas gift, we’ll focus more on the greatest stocking stuffers known to man or womankind…spoons, hooches, plugs and flashers. That’s right folks…come one and all and load up on all the tackle you can stuff into a stocking ever. PNT has literally got walls of the stuff. And in Northern BC, Vancouver Island and Steveston nonetheless.
Ho ho hold the hoochies…it’s holiday soft good times and the world of retail has changed. PNT now boasts an incredible selection of clothing from leading brands like Grundens and Pelagic and one of the most awesome displays of Yeti mugs and coolers anywhere. And man…who doesn’t need a new Yeti mug for the holidays. Or how about that new 12-pack cooler? Now that’s some jolly good cheer.

It’s Happy Holidays on the Big Coast and Pacific Net and Twine will be spreading the seasonal joy and giving you the West Coast kinda stuff you need to make holidays sing. And a big happy holidays from Steveston, Parksville and Prince Rupert!
