Description

North Pacific Barbless Tin Clawpoint Hooks (25 pack)

The North Pacific Claw point Siwash Hooks Hi Carbon Steel with a Tin Nickel finish is like Stainless hook. These hook will not rust. The advantage of the Tin finished North Pacific Claw point hook over Stainless is that it is lighter which puts more action on the Lure.

The pattern of the hook is based on the original Duranickel hook. Our hook is stronger and the eye is easier to close than the stainless hook.  The tip is razor sharp.

In barbless, we have tin finish Hi Carbon Steel Clawpoint Hooks from 3/0 to 7/0.

Like Stainless steel hooks, the tin finish stand up to corrosion better than black nickel hooks.

For Sports Fisherman, the black nickel hooks should stand up to corrosion for the year because they are not used 18 hours a day like the Commercial Fishermen.

Beside there are a good number of fishermen who use the Russell Black Box which allows the user to control the amount of electrical charge to pass through through their wire and dispersed by the hook.

With the Black Nickel Hi Carbon Clawpoint Hook, the barb can be easily flatten out and smoothed out using a good Crimper like Jinkai Crimper.

This is the method that I taught our Customers. I used the Jinkai Crimper to close the eye and flatten out the barb in the hook.

Murdoch my nephew uses the 5/0 black nickel clawpoint when he is using a single hook and he hasn’t had an issue with rusting.

So if your customers want barbless hooks, recommend our tin finish Clawpoint hooks.

Currently the smallest we carry in tin finish is 3/0 but the weight is light enough, extremely sharp and much stronger than stainless steel.

The shape of the Clawpoint tip will hold the salmon struggling to escape much better than the Mustad Barbless when the salmon flips.
